Baby Toes (Fenestraria rhopalophylla) are from subtropical desert zones, they don’t require high-nutrient soil & tolerate extreme weather conditions (not cold hardy). They need gritty, well draining soil, only needing water when soil is completely dry.
They take in their nutrients from the sun in the very tops of each ‘toe’ where the plant is opaque. In their habitat, only the tips of each toe are above ground.
Need bright light & make a great indoor succulent on a windowsill or a brightly lit room.
Blooms yellow or white flowers in spring and/or fall.
